The new Vivo Y22 features a boxy design with minimal 2.5D curvature at the back. Vivo sells it in two attractive colorways, including Starlit Blue and Metaverse Green. There’s also a fingerprint sensor on the side here. More on the design, the Vivo Y22 is IP54 dust and splash-resistant too. There’s nothing exciting on the display front though as it still sports an IPS LCD panel with HD resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate.

In terms of performance, the phone is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G85 chip. Available in either 4 or 6GB RAM options, the Vivo Y22 also supports the Extended RAM 3.0 feature that lets you temporarily add up to 8GB of internal storage as RAM. As for cameras, the phone brings a 50MP primary and a 2MP macro sensor at the back, alongside an 8MP selfie shooter. It is fueled by a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
